You're being too pessimistic John! When you switch to a faster cadence and a focus on learning rather than following a plan, you get immediate benefits, like instant market intelligence and growing trust and confidence between engineers and customers. Delivery may slow down and sales may not know what to sell, but you can point to results on day one. It's as if Tiger started rebuilding his swing and instantly improved his short game with more accurate putting; sure, he's slicing off the tee and can't get out of the rough, but on the green he's already seeing results.
