Update! I am very excited to be hosting Andrew Yu and Andrea Wang for the first in a series of chats titled Product-led In Practice (PLIP). Andrea heads up our growth efforts at Amplitude, and Andrew is fresh off of working as a product manager for the Biden Inauguration and Biden Campaign.
I like the paradigm of "Promise, Path, and Pressure".
The promise is the ultimate "job to be done" or business goal.
The Path is how you plan to do it: as Jack Welch said, "How do we plan to win in this business?"
The Pressure is often left out in Agile discussions, but it is critical. There needs to be a sense of urgency. There is almost always a finite window of opportunity. Good leadership maintains constant gentle positive and supportive pressure. All those adjectives are important.
