Almost seems like convergence is a form of Schrodinger's thought experiment where you can have it and not have it simultaneously. As mentioned, "The environment is always changing" or more colloquially "the only constant is change". So, if this is the case, do you really have convergence?

The balance of both not knowing and knowing is fine if you can make peace with it. If one knew definitively then that is the end of that road or that product line. Cash cow it and move on. So rather than strive for certainty relish the uncertainty.
